Their DNA should be one of these closely guarded possessions. But from their very first day on Earth, the country’s tiniest citizens are losing their rights to and privacy of their genetic blueprint because many states store, use and share newborn DNA for research—without parental consent, says Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom (CCHF).
